Hanukkah Gifts, Kitchen Design Flaws, And Other Week 16 Notes

On the first night of Hanukkah, Eagles fans (and anyone who also hates the Cowboys) were gifted the treat of an Eagles victory! Let’s hope they keep that fire burning for 7 more nights as they face the NY Giants in the Meadowlands for the NFC East Division crown next Sunday. It’s truly been a WEEKEND in the Delaware Valley:

How are things going in Dallas after losing to a team down their top 3 receivers, running back, right tackle, and losing their top 2 corners during the game? Head Coach Jason Garrett may be getting more than coal for Christmas this year, could the coach be gone by New Years? Potentially…

But in all seriousness, the responses to the tweet from the scum of the Earth Skip Bayless truly made the Dallas dismantling complete. There are some REAL issues with this kitchen setup, and the internet let him know…

If you drafted QB Lamar Jackson in fantasy this season, you were amongst the geniuses that probably won or came close to winning.

But if you are Odell Beckham Jr., you are apparently trying to draft yourself onto Jackson’s team…

I can’t blame Odell for wanting to play with Jackson, but I can’t get over this guy whining his way off every team he plays for that doesn’t win. Just seems pretty lame. Moving on…

The wildest games of week 16 were obviously between the worst teams in football. The lowly Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals battled to a 38-35 victory for the Dolphins who now have 4 whole wins! The NY Giants beat the team from Washington 41-35 in overtime. Do none of these teams want Chase Young!? Honestly, I respect the effort and thank the Giants for slowly falling out of contention for the best defensive end on the planet in the 2020 draft.

But hey, at least the team is bonding…

Get your skittles ready because we have a Beastmode sighting in Seattle and I for one CANNOT WAIT! The return of Marshawn Lynch is due to the season ending injuries to Seahawks RBs Chris Carson, C.J. Prosise AND Rashaad Penny, rough.

The Seahawks take on the division leading 49ers in Seattle, in week 17, in primetime. Merry Xmas.

In other news, the clutchest of clutch players, Saints WR Michael Thomas is having a historic season. The Saints have their sights set on the #1 seed in the NFC and some big time redemption from last year’s blundered pass interference playoff disaster.

Is it me, or are the Texans having an extremely underwhelming season despite winning the division? I know I come from the perspective of an Eagles fan in the NFC East which is comparable trash but it just feels like QB Deshaun Watson and the duo RBs Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson, as well as stud receivers DAndre Hopkins, Kenny Stills, and Will Fuller (yes he’s been in and out with injuries) should be lighting up scoreboards every week. Regardless, they beat my underdog Titans to capture the division title.

With one week left in the regular season, there are a handful of meaningful games on the slate for Sunday. Soak up your holiday happiness because it’s almost guaranteed many of us will be miserable again come Sunday. Cheers!
