Ouch! Injury Bugs Bite, Wedding Rings, and Roombas: Your NFL Week 2 Recap is HERE

NFL Injuries

Another week, another Eagles loss and something tells me to start getting used to this. Luckily, I have already begun to find other ways to cheer myself up on a Sunday by putting my energy into buffalo wings and my fantasy team. Naturally, the football gods said, “well hold up there, did you draft Christian McCaffrey first overall? Well, he (and 90% of the other best players in the league) are INJURED!” I almost forgot how soul-crushing the NFL season is! Let us look around the league for all the big-name injuries because misery LOVES company. Join me!
Although I will miss CMC’s consistent 25 points, he should return in a 4-6 weeks, but these guys…these guys will be back in 2021! More players have since been added to this list, including Solomon Thomas.

You can see the San Francisco 49ers were hit the hardest losing Jimmy G, Raheem Mostert, Solomon Thomas, Tevin Coleman and Nick Bosa (done for the year). This large number of injuries has warranted an investigation into the field conditions in NJ, though I’d like to note Eagles fans are used to injuries en masse and no one ever investigates that…

A field labeled sticky is….less than optimal to put it nicely…gross.

Saquon Barkley tore his ACL this weekend, setting us all up for the greatest rehab/comeback story since Adrian Peterson. I expect to see Saquon in record time, faster than ever.

The Indianapolis Colts and Frank Reich are feeling those injury bugs big time, starting last week with the loss of RB Marlon Mack to a torn Achilles, and swiftly adding a few more important players this week:

Parris Campbell had a ton of potential on my fantasy bench! He should be back, but not soon enough! Onto to the next!
The Broncos/Steelers game was closer than anyone expected it to be given that the Broncos lost their starting QB Drew Lock and best WR Courtland Sutton early in the game (in addition to AJ Buoye and Philip Lindsay for the short term and Von Miller for the season). I had more fun watching Jeff Driskel wing the ball around to any player willing to catch it-regardless of jersey color- than watching the Eagles! Broncos’ TE Noah Fant is balling out, look for that to continue regardless of these big losses:

A lighter moment occurred this weekend when Darius Leonard accidentally threw his wedding ring to a fan in the stands! I would love to be a fly on the wall when he got home last night…get this man his ring!

And lastly, when I think of the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas, iRobot certainly does not come to mind…

Turns out I have a mini Allegiant Stadium docked in my kitchen right now!
Grab your backup running backs on the waiver wire, move your guys to IR, and pray the new week brings healthier players as week 2 is in the books and week 3 begins tomorrow!
